LOVER Boss photoshoot

Nakakaaliw ang title. HAHAHA! Pero bagay sa shoot namin. We had this GQ Magazine concept on the shoot. During the shoot, our model, KIRK, had this edge of being a certain ladies man and most of all he portrayed being a corporate businessman where ladies could die and lust for. Galing nang model/actor namin! We didn’t find it hard to work with him because the camera loved him and during the shoot he simply played along. I love the GQ feel of the shoot. I had fun post-processing the photos because all of them turned out great! Bongga!

j18 - Born This Day photos (the main event)

(A continuation of my previous post which contained the pre-debut photos)

I’ve been 18 once and I also had the chance to experience the adrenaline a debut party could bring to me (mas nakakaloka ang preparations! Jusko naman!). I know what it feels like, on your day, it’s your day. It’s something special and you feel like your a queen for a night. All your commands will be done, you’ll have a grasp of Kate Middleton’s life as a Duchess, all made up with brushes and colors flowing on your face and 3 or 4 people helping you get in this beautiful flowing or puffy gown designed by the world’s finest (or in our case, our very own city’s finest).

The cake, the dress, the roses, the gifts, those are just the bonus points. The speeches, the tears, the laughs, the hugs, the kisses, the photos, the memories, well basically, they fill the entire story.

CAKE! YUM!

The father-daughter dance. Need I say more?

All smiles ang debutante namin! Ganda mo girl :)

Oooohh how I love debuts! Ganda noh?

j18 - Born This Day photos (the pre-debut)

Open a Cosmopolitan, Preview, Vogue, Tatler, or even the Lifestyle Section of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, what do you see? Model physique, couture clothes, straight faces and those incredibly killer heels. Yes, MODELS. They can kill your self-esteem right before you can flip to the next page. We may never understand their celebrity life, the blitz and glamour and the flashing bulbs from hundreds of cameras but when there’s an upcoming once in a lifetime event for a girl like a DEBUT, why let this special feeling pass?

Meet our first client, JYRILL PIELAGO, who had the chance to experience being the model of her own special event.  I had fun being burned by the violent rays of the sun but seeing these pictures, man, everything was worth it. She had her chance to experience a life of a Metro It-Girl and here you see why. :)

I have a weakness to black and white pictures. It’s so vintage and classic. Ala Mark Nicdao ang show. Bongga noh? I hope to have an all black and white shoot soon. I really love it! It’s so classic!

Here’s our insanely hot outdoor shoot! The weather was cooperative so yes nalang!

May nalalaman pa kaming “Make love to the wall” na show! Keri! :)

This is JYRILL. A jolly and very gutsy girl! Hindi madali nahihiya sa ginagawa niya! She’s so fun and easy to work with. Most of all, hindi natatakot sa sunlight itech! Bongga! Had fun with this madness! Will post the debut pictures later!

Lovelots,

I AM WOMAN — Bettina Fashion Show at SM

Yesterday, I had the chance to take photos of these gorgeous women with wonderful outfits all available at Bettina (I guess excluding the shoes. Their models’ own) Anyway, here they are in collage form since there are too many of them and I just put them in a group per batch as shown in the fashion show.

Oh diba bonggaletch ang mga models? Sana feel na feel ang CDO Fashion Week, kung meron man sana! Hahaha! And here are the owners of Bettina Boutique. They reopened their store at the 2nd floor at SM! Akala ko F21! Ambisyosa! At least may F21 feel tayo dito because of BETTINA! CHOZ ;p

And the models! CDO’s pride:)

Lotsoflove,

D

I AM WOMAN — Bettina Fashion Show at SM

And just when I didn’t think about it, it happened.

Yes, it was my first time to cover a fashion show. It was amazing! I had fun taking pictures with the models and their get-ups. Little by little and step by step, my ambition of taking pictures has leaped to the next level. Kumbaga, umaasenso na. So here’s what I looked like with my sexy and fashionista co-photographer, TheaGee.

Her heels can kill, literally! It stole the attention of SM. Hahaha! I love them! If only I had the guts to wear them. Happy na ako masyado sa Brogues ko kasi hindi ko keri ang 5 inches sa 5’6” ko na height!

ECHOSERA! May nalalaman pa kaming chismisan sa mall! Hahaha! I told you the heels were really killer creatures! Phew.

Yes! Here I am and hoping to soar higher with my photography dreams! HIRE ME please! Hahaha!

Lovelots,

D

PS: will post the fashion show pictures soon!

There’s a thing about debuts. I’ve attended quite a few already for the past couple of years and just recently I attended a fabulous one, not as a guest but my break as a clicker.

Xavier Festival Days 2010

(These photos had to be collaged due to the huge file sizes to endure, so credits to PS for letting me shorten my agony. Photos by yours truly unless you see my face in it. Haha!:> )

YES!! My last as a student from Xavier University, December 1-4, 2010 was well-spent to celebrate the XU Days. One scene I really appreciate during the start of the month of December was the XU Light a Tree contest. The lights were brightly lit along the XU Main Lane and were really pleasing for us to see. There were also different bands playing from our very own banda-dudes and entertained us away with the sound of bass guitars, hard core vocals and drums.

(Hello Kyle de Leon on the vocals!)

The set of the opening day was AMAZING! Applause and applause to the ones who prepared the covered courts. The lights, the sounds, I give it an A+! It was beyond my expectation I tell you, well-prepared as if it was the MTV Music Awards or something like that (I can easily be impressed!). I was really amazed. The productions numbers were A-Okay too. (Hello Father Jett! :>)

Well, I didn’t exactly say we had a COMPLETE vacation from our Nursing life but the mornings were spent roaming around the campus trying our best to use our marketing skills to sell our items for our fund-raising for our Integrating Seminar on February 2011. It was fun really, interacting with different people and selling out our stuff like pens, lanyards, brownies and our best-seller, CHOCO BALLS! If you had one, thank you for helping us out! They were tasty and good for the sweet-tooths out there :)

It wasn’t the best weekend for us too. But hey, friends are the best there are, to carry on the load you can’t carry, to replenish your sadness and tears with smiles and laughs and to let you know you’re not alone in times of darkness. Yes, you know who you are, and we love you so much no matter what. Higalas are here to save the day and night :)

See? Nash was there to empathize for you :) Hahaha! For sure, she’s one hell of a pain-killer and stress-reliever but watch out, she’s a physical threat (kidding! I love you Nashy) :)) (Who were you talking to on the phone anyway? :P)

The festivity was an opportunity for lovers to unite and date, like these two. :)

And for the not-so-lovers too :)

It was also an opportunity for me to show off my legs, HA! (fashionably speaking). It was legal to roam around XU feeling carefree about the dress code, although some were violating it too much (no offense).

The fireworks were, errrrmmmm, fireworks

Friends were the cherry-on-top of the XU Days. Without them, I would probably be aside everyone lurking and procrastinating. Hahaha. Lucky I had them and they made the experience a lot better, way better. :) I had so much time spent laughing, making chikas and all the charade. Lots of photos here and there and I couldn’t pick out the best ones because everything was at it’s best. Okay, let’s just say we had a LOT of photos to attest to our fun. Hahaha.

(KRENZ found himself a love affair for just an intsy-bitsy moment of time.HAHAHA!)

The last day was the Xavier Engage Dance Party. We danced our arse off. Haha! It was kinda cut-short since we went to the soccerfield late and everyone else were just standing.

We did a lot of crazy stuff during the last day until I was physically drained out but it didn’t stop me. More endless chikas until we saw the sun rise (literally) at Thea’s apartment with booze and some junk food. It was one night to remember indeed.

And that concludes my experience during the Xavier Days 2010. It was fun for me because of the company I had. They completed my experience and we cheer each other up. This will make me miss college a lot, having friends to tag along and laugh with, share problems and stories and secrets with and safe to say, indeed it was a blast. I hope you had a great experience too. Crazy and fun that’s how I define my XU Days 2010.

Thanks guys for making my life a whole lot better :)

Life is too short to be miserable and procrastinate a lot. Learn to love love love and be merry.

Ciao!
